Why do my Chamberlain Gate Opener radio controls close gate from the open limit?

If the radio controls close the gate from the open limit, the radio terminals R1-4 are likely configured for residential (Open and Close) radio function. To correct this, configure terminals R1-4 for residential radio function by disconnecting the wire running to terminal J1-1 from R4 and connecting it to J1-6.
