Why does my Char-Broil 466344015 have a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame?
    • B
      Brent VincentAug 15, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Grill can happen for a few reasons. First, check if you are out of gas in the LP cylinder. If that's not the issue, the excess flow valve might have tripped; try turning off the knobs, waiting 30 seconds, and then lighting the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Lastly, a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection could be the cause; turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

      Christina MoralesAug 18, 2025
If one burner on your Char-Broil Grill does not light from the other burners, it is likely due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

What to do if no sparks appear at any electrodes when Electronic Ignition Button is pressed and no noise can be heard from spark module in Char-Broil Grill?
    • M
      Matthew RamirezAug 21, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed, and no noise can be heard from the spark module on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons: 1. The battery may not be installed properly; ensure that the '+' and '-' connectors are oriented correctly, with '+' on the cap end. 2. The battery may be dead; replace it with a new alkaline battery. 3. The button assembly may not be installed properly; unscrew the button cap assembly and reinstall, making sure the threads are aligned and engaged fully. 4. The spark module may be faulty; replace the spark module assembly.

What to do if sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on my Char-Broil 466344015 Grill?
    • J
      James PetersAug 28, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons: * Output lead connections not connected: Remove and reconnect all output connections at module and electrodes. * Arcing to grill away from burner(s): If possible, observe grill in a dark location. Operate ignition system and look for arcing between output wires and grill frame. * Weak battery: Replace battery with a new alkaline battery. * Electrodes are wet: Use a paper towel to remove moisture. * Electrodes cracked or broken 'sparks at crack': Replace cracked or broken electrodes.

What to do if my Char-Broil 466344015 Grill has a flare-up?
    • R
      rodriguezpennyAug 31, 2025
A flare-up in your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to several reasons. It could be caused by grease buildup, so cleaning the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox is recommended. Another cause may be excessive fat in the meat; trimming the fat before grilling can help. Lastly, excessive cooking temperature can also lead to flare-ups, so adjust the temperature accordingly to a lower setting.

What to do if the flames blow out on my Char-Broil 466344015 Grill?
    • C
      Carrie RichardsonSep 3, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Grill are blowing out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height by turning the gas valve to a higher position. Another reason could be low LP gas, in which case you should refill the LP cylinder. An excess flow valve tripped can also cause this problem; refer to the 'Sudden drop in gas flow' section for troubleshooting.

What to do if my Char-Broil 466344015 has a persistent grease fire?
    • F
      farleyamySep 7, 2025
If you have a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. Turn the knobs to OFF and turn the gas off at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.
