5.3 Fitting the protective sleeve
CAUTION
Infection from contaminated protective
sleeve
Failure to replace the protective
sleeve for the handle can lead to
atransmission of illnesses.
E Use a new protective sleeve for
thehandle for each customer.
ATTENTION
Damage to drive caused by fluid
If fluid gets inside the drive or on
the connection, this can corrode
theelectrical and mechanical compo-
nents.
E Always use one protective sleeve
(1) for the handle and a second
protective sleeve (2) for the drive
and connection cable as described
below.
In order to fit the protective sleeve (1)
on the handle:
E If already inserted: Remove
thesafety cartridge from the handle
(see chapter “5.5 Replacing the safety
cartridge” on page43).
E Slide the protective sleeve (1)
completely over the connecting cable.
E Insert the safety cartridge (3) through
the hole of the protective sleeve (1)
into the handle (see chapter “5.5
Replacing the safety cartridge” on
page43).
