• Aromatic/halogenized fluorocarbons
(e.g. phenol, chloroform) as well as
• acetone and benzene
7.2 Disinfecting surfaces
Before and after each usage:
E Disinfect all surfaces of the tattooing
machine and its accessories as
described in chapter “5.1 Disinfecting
equipment” on page39.
7.3 Cleaning surfaces
In the event of external contamination:
E Disassemble the handle and drive.
E Wipe the handle and drive –
especially the piston – and the long
protective sleeve with a soft cloth
moistened with a cleaning agent or a
disinfectant.
E Clean inaccessible surfaces, e.g.the
thread of the handle and drive unit,
with a soft-bristled nylon brush or
cotton swab.
E Note that due to the matte surface,
streaks of ink may occur on
thetattooing machine.
7.4 Cleaning handle in an ultrasonic
bath
If the handle is severely soiled:
E Use cleaning agent Tickomed 1 or
Tickopur R33 from manufacturer
Dr. H. Stamm GmbH in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure that a pH value of 7 is not
exceeded.
E Conduct the cleaning operation for
10minutes at a frequency of 35kHz.
E Dry the handle fully after cleaning,
before you use it again.
7.5 Sterilizing handle in
an autoclave
Whenever handle is contaminated:
E Perform all steps described in
chapter “5.1 Disinfecting equipment”
on page39.
E Autoclave the handle for 20minutes
at a temperature of 121°C and a
pressure of 2bar.
E Dry the handle fully after cleaning,
before you use it again.
