E The safety cartridges are supplied
in sterile packaging. Do not remove
them from their packaging until
immediately before you intend to
use them.
E Always place your tattooing
machine down so that the safety
cartridge is not on it.
E Seek medical attention if injured by
a contaminated needle.
E Switch o the power supply to
thetattooing machine.
E Insert the safety cartridge in
the opening in the handle, as
illustrated below.
The safety cartridge only fits in
theopening in two directions.
E Rotate the safety cartridge clockwise
through approx. 45°.
The index (1) marks the position
of the upper (2) or lower part of
thesafety cartridge.
E Check that the safety cartridge is
firmly seated.
E To remove the safety cartridge, turn
it anti-clockwise and remove it from
the handle.
5.6 Checking equipment
E Conduct a visual inspection of
theequipment:
- Are there any visible signs of exter-
nal damage (e.g. bends in thecon-
necting cable or bent piston)?
- Are there any exposed cables?
- Are the safety cartridge and
theneedles correctly aligned?
E Switch on your tattooing machine
and conduct a noise test: Can you
hear any unusual operating noises,
or is the unit running loudly?
