Chapter 1 Configuring SNMP
Configuring SNMP
• Sends traps (event notifications) to NMSs.
To enable the SNMP agent and identify an NMS that can connect to the SNMP server, enter the following
command:
Command Purpose
snmp-server enable
Example:
hostname(config)# snmp-server
enable
Ensures that the SNMP server on the ASA or ASASM is enabled. By default, the
SNMP server is enabled.
