Examples This example shows how to configure the layer-2 template on a switch:
Switch(config)# sdm prefer layer-2
Switch(config)# exit
Switch# reload
This is an example of an output display when you have changed the template to the layer-2 template and 
have not reloaded the switch:
Switch# show sdm prefer 
The current template is "default" template.
 The selected template optimizes the resources in
 the switch to support this level of features for
 8 routed interfaces and 1024 VLANs. 
  number of unicast mac addresses:                  5K
  number of IPv4 IGMP groups + multicast routes:    1K
  number of IPv4 unicast routes:                    9K
    number of directly-connected IPv4 hosts:        5K
    number of indirect IPv4 routes:                 4K
  number of IPv4 policy based routing aces:         0.5K
  number of IPv4/MAC qos aces:                      0.5K
  number of IPv4/MAC security aces:                 1K
On next reload, template will be "layer-2" template.
You can verify your settings by entering the show sdm prefer privileged EXEC command.
