lamp comes in the instrument
panel.Itstaysonwhiletheairbagis
deactivated.
Front airbags
Deployment
Theairbagsaredeployed,exceptthe
passenger'sfrontairbagifitisdeactivated,inthe
event of a serious front impact to all or part of the
front impact zone A,inthelongitudinalcentreline
of the vehicle on a horizontal plane and directed
fromthefronttotherearofthevehicle.
Thefrontairbaginflatesbetweenthethoraxand
head of the front occupant of the vehicle and the
steeringwheel,driver'sside,andthedashboard,
passenger'ssidetocushiontheirforward
movement.
System which protects the driver and front
passengerintheeventofaseriousfrontimpact
inordertolimittheriskofinjurytotheheadand
thorax.
Thedriver'sairbagisfittedinthecentreofthe
steeringwheel;thefrontpassenger'sairbagis
fittedinthedashboardabovetheglovebox.
Onlythepassenger'sfrontairbagcanbe
deactivated.
F With the ignition off,insertthekeyinthe
passengerairbagdeactivationswitch.
F Turn it to the "OFF"position.
F Removethekeykeepingtheswitchinthe
newposition.
To assure the safety of your child,
thepassenger'sfrontairbagmustbe
deactivated when you install a rearward
facingchildseatonthefrontpassenger
seat.
Otherwise,thechildwouldriskbeing
seriouslyinjuredorkillediftheairbag
weredeployed.
Reactivation
Whenyouremovetherearwardfacingchild
seat, with the ignition off, turn the switch to
the "ON"positiontoreactivatetheairbagand
soassurethesafetyofyourfrontpassengerin
theeventofanimpact.
Whentheignitionisswitchedon,
thiswarninglampcomesoninthe
instrumentpanelforapproximately
oneminutetosignalthatthefront
airbagisactivated.
Operating fault
Ifthiswarninglampcomesoninthe
instrument panel, you must contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshoptohavethesystemchecked.
Theairbagsmaynolongerbedeployed
intheeventofaseriousimpact.
