Switching thespeaker on and connecting
aBluetooth device
1. Hold down [ ] until thespeaker beeps and thefunction indicator flashesblue.
Thismeans that thespeaker is detectable for other devices.
2. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
3. Thespeaker will appear in thelist of devices on your Bluetooth device as BC168,
select it and connect it to your device (refer to themanual of your device if you are
unsure). Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code on your Bluetooth device,
you should enter 0000 (four zeroes). Certain Bluetooth devices may also require
you to approve theconnection.
4. Thespeaker will emit anaudible signal and thefunction indicator will change to
aslowly flashingblue.
5. Start playback on theBluetooth device. Thevolume level and track can be
changed on either thespeaker or on your external device.
6. If theBluetooth connection is broken or if you wish to change to another device,
disable theBluetooth function on thefirst device and hold down [ ►ll ] until theLED
flashesblue. Gothrough theconnection procedure listed above to pair thespeaker
with thenew device.
7. Switch thespeaker off by holding down [ ] until thespeaker beeps and theLED
indicator goesoff.
Dealing with anincomingcall
If your mobile phone is connected to thespeaker via Bluetooth and you receive acall,
thespeaker can be used for having theconversation via thespeaker, handsfree.
Anyaudio playback you are listening to will be interrupted when anincoming call is
received and will resume after thecall has finished.
• To answer thecall: press [ ►ll ].
• To end thecall: press [ ►ll ].
• To reject thecall: Holddown [ ►ll ] for 3 seconds.
Care and maintenance
• Thespeaker can withstand normal rain showers and water splashes but should
not be subjected to jets of water or immersion into water or other liquid.
• Wipe thespeaker clean with adry cloth as and when required.
• If thespeaker is not to be used for along time, thebattery should be fully charged
every second month to maintain its capacity.
• Store thespeaker indoors, in adry, dust-free place out of children’sreach.
