Intel Optane Options
Intel® Optane™ is a combination of a compatible memory device and Intel Rapid
Technology software. This combination is designed to speed up your system per-
formance by caching boot data, executables, frequently accessed data and system
page files to an non volatile, low latency Intel® Optane™ SSD.
• Intel® Optane™ Memory Series - A single Intel® Optane™ SSD automati-
cally configured as a single volume disk, designed to speed up your system
without any data storage options.
Clearing Intel Optane
If you need to clear Intel Optane Memory data then follow the process below, how-
ever note you will need to back up your system first as the procedure will result
in the system being required to be reinstalled and data and files will be lost in the
process.
1. Go to the BIOS and select Bios setup > Advanced > Intel Rapid Storage Technol-
ogy and select Intel Optane.
2. Select Disable.
3. Select Yes when prompted “Are you sue you want to disable?”
4. Select Disable and the system will clear the data.
5. The system will then return to the Intel Rapid Storage Technology menu.
