Inspections
In case of
negative outcome
Resolution
by
Perform the following tests by act-
ing on the controls (emergency)
placed on the turret and without any
person inside the basket:
o Lifting and lowering telescopic
boom;
o Lifting and lowering the pan-
tograph;
o Clockwise and anticlockwise
rotation of the turret;
o Extraction and return tele-
scopic boom;
During the test manoeuvres verify
that the floor of the basket always
keeps a horizontal level.
Check the operation of the stabi-
lizers block valves, with boom not
in rest position:
o Extend the stabilizers and lev-
el the MEWP;
o Press the EMERGENCY but-
ton to switch off the engine;
o Operate the stabilizers lifting
and lowering lever.
THE STABILISERS MUST NOT
In case of issues that
might be resolved by
following the instruc-
tions in the para-
graph "drawbacks -
causes - solutions"
carry out the opera-
tions described in
this paragraph.
USER
It is strictly
forbidden to use the
MEWP in case of
problems that cannot
be resolved by fol-
lowing the instruc-
tions in the para-
graph "drawbacks -
causes - solutions”.

Check the operation of the boom
extraction cylinder lock valve:
o Extend the boom and place it
in vertical position;
o Press the EMERGENCY but-
ton to switch off the engine;
o Operate the boom retraction
and return lever;
THE BOOM MUST NOT RETURN.
Check the operation of the boom
lifting cylinder lock valve:
o stabilize the MEWP;
o load the basket with 220 Kg
(only weights).
During checking it is strictly
prohibited to load the MEWP by
placing people in the basket.
o Extend the telescopic boom;
o Press the EMERGENCY but-
ton to switch off the engine;
o Operate the lifting and lower-
ing levers of the telescopic
boom;
THE TELESCOPIC BOOM MUST
In case of issues
that might be re-
solved by following
the instructions in
the paragraph
"drawbacks - caus-
es - solutions" carry
out the operations
described in this
paragraph
