Failing to inspect the brakes
before each use could be
hazardous
Inspect brakes before each
use according to the Pre Ride
inspection chart, make sure
to follow the maintenance
schedule and procedures.

The front right brake lever (1) should
have 4.0mm - 6.0mm (0.16 - 0.24
in.) of free play.
To adjust brake lever free play:
1. Loosen Jam nut (2) on the brake
cable.
2. Turn adjuster nut (3) until the
correct amount of free-play is
achieved.
3. Re tighten jam nut (2)
4. The freeplay can also be adjust-
ed by loosening jam nut (4) on the
front brake drum assembly.
5. Turn adjuster nut (5) on the front
brake drum assembly until the cor-
rect free play is achieved.

(0.15 - 0.24 in)
The Rear Foot Brake lever (6) should
have 19-25mm (0.75 - 1in) of free
play.
To adjust foot lever free play
1. Turn the adjuster nut (7) until the
correct amount of free-play is
achieved.
Rear brake: Foot lever
