Managing the answering service
The ViP switchboard Art. 1952 features an answering service which is capable of performing several
basic functions, such as playing an absent message when called or recording a short courtesy message.
Recording an entrance panel / internal unit message
Every new message overwrites the previous recording. The maximum duration of the message is 15
seconds.
This function can be used to play an absent message on the external or internal unit if a call is not
answered within the Reply waiting time.

Enabling the entrance panel / internal unit message
In order to enable the function, fi rst you must confi gure the entrance panel / internal unit message.
Enabling of the entrance panel / internal unit message function is indicated by the appearance of
the icon on the home screen.
