10 Tro uble-shooting
In the case of faults or warnings that are detected by the compressor control DELCOS XL, please refer to the
chapter “Fault/warning table” in the operating instructions of the DELCOS XL.
No operating or control voltage
Check fuses, main switch and supply line
Malfunction not acknowledged
Acknowledge fault message
Pressure reservoir not depressurized
Wait until depressurized
Screw compressor does not start up,
when reservoir pressure is
> 1.0 bar/14.5 PSI
Check connections, winding, etc.
Turn the compressor manually; if
required, replace
Ambient temperature less than
+2 °C/35.6 °F
Make sure that the ambient temperature
is not less than +2 °C/35.6 °F; install an
auxiliary heater, if required
Remote control/timer has been activated
Deactivate remote control/timer
Mains pressure exceeds the lower
switching point
Wait until the mains pressure has fallen
below the lower switching point
Unit stops during the
start-up phase
Short-circuit in the unit
Determine and eliminate cause; replace
defective fuses
Connecting terminals in the switch
cabinet are loose
Maximum motor switching cycles
exceeded due to too frequent manual on
and off-switching
Avoid frequent manual on and off-
switching, let electric motor cool down
Mains pressure sensor set too low
Unit does not reach
the set mains
pressure
Excessive air consumption
Reduce consumption or cut in a further
compressor
Replace air filter cartridge
Heavy leakage in the compressor system
Ambient temperature too high
Ventilate compressor room
Check electric motor and thermistor
Sensor, connections or lines defective
Check sensors, connections and lines
Cross section of the electric supply lines
too small
Measure power requirement, if
necessary, replace lines
Manage the water level sensor and
water intake
Excessive water temperature
Check water cooler and fan/ Check
water thermostat
