The
actual range
for
depth
of
field
for
a
given
lens
and
aperture
setting
can
be checked
against
the
depth
of
field
scale
on
each lens.

focusing

the
aperture
set
F16,
for
example,
clear focus
can
be
obtained
over
range
indicated
by
"16"
on the
depth
of field
scale.

remains
constantly
open.
To
see what
the
depth
of
field
and
exposure
brightness
will
be
like
when
the
actual
picture

button.

closes
down the
aperture
to match
the
actual
preset
value
and
the inside
of
the viewfinder
will
become
darker
accordingly.
The
narrowness
or
shallowness
of
the
depth
of
field
can
also be
seen
by
the fading
of the
background
and foreground.

when
