2 Line Unit (LU1)
• Memory access (DRAMs, FLASH m emories)
• Performance of high speed data links with other cards
LU1 has a watchdog t o r eset itself in case of a fatal failure in the CPU subsystem.
2.4 Interfaces
LU1 provides two different interface configurations:
• 1x100GBASE-R (CFP2) + 14x1000B ASE-X/10GBASE-R (SFP+/SFP)
• 24x1000BASE-X/10GBASE-R (SFP+/SFP)
There are three virtual modules M0, M1 and M2 on LU1. The virtual M0 comprises the
1x100GBASE-R interface, M1 comprises the 10x1000BASE-X /10GBASE–R interfaces and M2
comprises the 14x1000BASE-X/10GBASE-R interfaces. M2 is always available, but M0 or M1
cannot be enabled at the same time.
When selecting between the 1G/10G modes it has to be done in pairs, i.e. M1/0 and M1/1,
M1/2 an d M1/3 etc.
For M2/4...13 ports the maximum link span with 10GBASE-ZR SFP+ optics is ~65km depending
on the link conditions, all other 10GBASE-R port
s support the full link span.
