Damage due to one or more of the following causes will void the manufacturer's
liabilityandwarranty:
o Non‐observanceofthepump'sintendeduse.
o Incorrect installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, or repair of the
pump.
o Non‐observanceofthesafetyinstructionsinthismanual.
o Operating the pump with
faulty or incorrectly installed safety and protective
devices.
o Inspection and maintenance work not carried out according to schedule (see
Maintenance).
o Useofsparepartsandaccessoriesthathavenotbeenapproved.
Aprerequisiteforwarrantyclaimsis thatthepump hasbeencorrectly installed
andcommissioned.
3.5 Residualrisks
Thepumphasbeenbuiltinaccordancewithstate‐of‐the‐artstandards.Nonetheless,
residualriskscannotbeexcluded:
Caution–riskofinjury
In case of incorrect installation, disassembly, or maintenance work on the
couplings/connections,thereisariskofburnsandinjuryduetohotwaterorsteam
suddenlyescaping.
o Installation, disassembly, or maintenancework may only be doneby expert
personnel.
o Make sure that the
plant is depressurized before starting installation,
disassembly,ormaintenanceworkonthecouplings/connections.
Caution–riskofburns
Highsurfacetemperaturesinheatinginstallationscancausesevereskinburns.
o Wearsafetygloves.
o Attachcorrespondingwarningsignsnearthedevice.
Caution–electricvoltage
o Ifelectrical installation is not doneby anexpert,there is arisk ofelectric
shock.
