Thisitemisfastenedwitha cabletieat thefactory.Cutthecabletie before
operatingthesnowthrower.
Neveruseyourhandsto clearacloggedchuteassembly.Shutoff engine
and remainbehindhandlesuntil all movingpartshavestoppedbefore
usingthe clean-outtool to clearthe chuteassembly.
TirePressure
Underanycircumstancedo notexceedmanufacturer'srecommendedpsi.
Equaltire pressureshouldbemaintainedat alltimes. Excessivepressure
when seatingbeadsmaycausetireldm assemblyto burstwith force
sufficient to causeseriousinjury. Refertosidewall oftire for recommended
pressure.
Thetiresareover-inflatedforshippingpurposes.Checkthetire pressurebefore
operatingthesnowthrower.Refertothetiresidewallfor tiremanufacturer's
recommendedpsianddeflate(orinflate)thetiresasnecessary.
NOTE:Equaltire pressureisto bemaintainedat alltimesforperformancepurposes.
Adjustments
SkidShoes
Thesnowthrowerskidshoesareadjustedupwardatthefactoryforshipping
purposes.Adjustthemdownward,ifdesired,priortooperatingthesnowthrower.
It isnotrecommendedthat youoperatethis snowthroweron gravelas
it caneasilypickupandthrow loosegravel,causingpersonalinjury or
damageto thesnowthrower andsurroundingproperty.
Forclosesnowremovalonasmoothsurface,raiseskidshoeshigheronthe
augerhousing.Referto Figure7.
Useamiddleorlowerpositionwhentheareato beclearedisuneven,suchas
agraveldriveway.
NOTE:Ifyouchooseto operatethesnowthroweronagravelsurface,keep
theskidshoesinpositionformaximumclearancebetweenthegroundand
theshaveplate.
Toadjusttheskidshoes:
1. Loosenthefourhexnuts(twooneachside)andcarriagebolts.Moveskid
shoestodesiredposition.SeeFigure7.
2. Makecertaintheentirebottomsurfaceof skidshoeisagainstthegroundto
avoidunevenwearontheskidshoes.
