SNOWTHROWER CONTROLS
A. Auger Drive Lever – Starts and stops the auger (see Figure 7).
B. Crank Assembly – Changes the direction of snowthrowing
through the discharge chute.
C. Chute Deflector – Changes the distance the snow is thrown.
D. Discharge Chute – Changes the direction the snow is thrown.

E. Ignition Switch Key — Must be inserted and turned to the ON
position to start the engine.
F. Recoil Starter Handle – Starts the engine manually.
G. Electric Starter Button – Used to start the engine using the
electric starter.
H. Choke Control — Used to start a cold engine.
I. Primer Button — Used to inject fuel directly into the carburetor
manifold to ensure fast starts in cool weather.
J. Oil Fill Cap/Dipstick Access Panel – Allows access to oil fill
cap/dipstick for both filling and checking the engine oil.
K. Switch Box – Connection for the electric start power cord.
