6. MONITORING INTERFACES, ACCESSORIES
6.1. MONITORING INTERFACES
The CPS3 chargers have internal monitoring modules controlling dry contacts failure presence
Electrical characteristic of the dry contacts (relay) : cut-offcharacteristics 30V 100mA
Be careful:
The monitorings of+BAT1 and +BAT2 low battery voltage when they are activated, draw
about 12mA on the batteries banks connected on +BAT1 and +BAT2 outputs.
6.2. ACCESSORIES ET ACCESSORIES CONNECTIONS
The accessories are not bundled with standard CPS3 battery chargers; they are available from your reseller. Only
accessories marketed by CRISTEC may be connected with these chargers.
The following accessories are available for the CPS3 range:
Remote On/Off charger control : reference A/M-CPS3
A 5-metre cable + On/Offswitch; connect to K8 connector (see drawing)
Digital display unit : reference SEEL009104
(except 48V models)
Displays the state ofthe charger (ON/OFF), the current ofthe charger, the voltage on each ofthe 3 outputs.
A 10-metre cable + display unit; connect to K3.
Remote Boost control: reference BAD-CPS3
(for CPS3 12V/60A, 24V/30A and 48V/15A only)
A 5-metre cable + Boost On/Offswitch; connect to K11 (see drawing)
Temperature probe: reference STP-CPS3
(for CPS3 12V/60A, 24V/30A and 48V/15A only)
Compensates the charging voltage according to temperature
12V Charger: -18mV/°C
24V Charger: -36mV/°C
48V Charger: -72mv/°C
A 5-metre cable + probe; connect to K2 (see drawing)
Remote LEDs accessory : reference LED-DEP-CPS3
(for CPS3 12V/60A, 24V/30A and 48V/15A only)
Allows having at distance the charger LED: ON/BOOST, absorption/Floating.
A 5-metre cable to connect on KLD123.
K10 connector
(for CPS3 12V/60A, 24V/30A and 48V/15A only)
Enables to connect an analogue ammeter and voltmeter to view the current ofthe charger, the voltage on each of
the 3 outputs and the output voltage of +SP.
These options must be connected to K10 with a specific cable, ref. DEP-V-A-CPS3 (for further information,
please contact CRISTEC).
Plastic cable glands : reference PE-CPS3/1M-2M
To be mounted in place ofthe cable bushings oforigin.
Packet including 4 plastic cable glands.
