Maintenance and Adjustment of the UV
Checking the Constant Velocity Joint
Dust Boots
Inspect (1) looking for any damage, tears,
or cracking. Replacement found in chapter
5 Chassis.
Checking the Steering System
Check the Steering Wheel for excessive
play up or down and side to side.
Check the Tie-rod ends.
Inspect for vertical play, if any then replace
the Tie-rod end in question. Replacement
is found in Chapter 5 Chassis.
Check the Ball joints.
Raise the front end of the vehicle so there
is no weight on the front wheels. Move the
wheels laterally back and forth. If there is
excessive free play replace the Ball joint in
question.
