PARTS REPLACEMENT GUIDE 21
SEAL PACK ASSEMBLY
Follow the instructions for replacing the drive motor assembly through step 7, then continue as follows:
1. With the drive motor and backplate set aside, rmly pull the seal pack assembly from the valve body.
2. Lightly lubricate the o-rings of the replacement seal pack with silicone grease.
3. Reverse the procedure for reassembly.
NOTICE: Use only silicone grease; petroleum-based lubricants will cause the degradation of the rubber
components.
CAUTION: Do not twist the seal pack upon insertion. This can cause the outer o-rings
to pinch, cut, or crimp.
EDUCTOR PISTON/EDUCTOR SLEEVE ASSEMBLY
Follow the instructions for replacing the drive motor assembly through step 7, then proceed as follows:
1. With the drive motor set aside, rmly pull the eductor piston & sleeve assembly from the valve body.
2. Lightly lubricate the o-rings of the replacement piston & sleeve assembly with silicone grease.
3. Reverse the procedure for reassembly.
NOTICE: Use only silicone grease; petroleum-based lubricants will cause the degradation of the rubber
components.
NOTICE: The eductor piston & sleeve assemblies are unique to the softener, lter, and Super S
controls. Refer to
the parts list to ensure that the proper assembly is used.
