config address_binding ip_mac ports
Purpose Used to configure an IP-MAC state to enable or disable for specified ports.
Syntax
config address_binding ip_mac ports [ <portlist> | all ]
state [ enable | disable]
Description This command is used to enable disable IP-MAC binding for specified ports.
The IP-MAC binding entry applies only to the specified port or ports.
Parameters
<portlist> − Specifies a port or range of ports.
all – Specifies all ports on the switch.
state [ enable | disable ] – Enables or disables IP-MAC binding for the specified
range of ports. When enabled the IP-MAC binding comparison is applied to
traffic (ARP packets) through the specified ports.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To config address binding on the switch:
DES-3550:4# config address_binding ip_mac ports 2 state enable
Command: config address_binding ip_mac ports 2 state enable
