DES-3550 Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch
show authen parameter
Purpose Used to display the authentication parameters currently configured
on the Switch.
Syntax
show authen parameter
Description This command will display the authentication parameters currently
configured on the Switch, including the response timeout and user
authentication attempts.
This command will display the following fields:
Response timeout – The configured time allotted for the Switch to
wait for a response of authentication from the user attempting to log
in from the command line interface or telnet interface.
User attempts: The maximum number of attempts the user may try
to become authenticated by the Switch, before being locked out.
Parameters None.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To view the authentication parameters currently set on the Switch:
DES-3550:4#show authen parameter
Command: show authen parameter
Response timeout : 60 seconds
User attempts : 5
