MAC NOTIFICATION COMMANDS
The MAC notification commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed, in the following table, along with their
appropriate parameters.
Command Parameters
enable mac_notification
disable mac_notification
{interval <int 1-2147483647> | historysize <int 1-500>
[<portlist> | all] [enable | disable]
show mac_notification ports <portlist>
config mac_notification
config mac_notification ports

Each command is listed, in detail, in the following sections.
enable mac_notification
Purpose Used to enable global MAC address table notification on the
Switch.
Syntax
enable mac_notification
Description This command is used to enable MAC address notification without
changing configuration.
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Parameters None.
Restrictions
Example Usage:
To enable MAC notification without changing basic configuration:
DGS-3400:4#enable mac_notification
Command: enable mac_notification
Success.
DGS-3400:4#
disable mac_notification
Purpose Used to disable global MAC address table notification on the Switch.
Syntax
disable mac_notification
Description This command is used to disable MAC address notification without
changing configuration.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
