Before operating your coffee system for the first time:
For model CM24P-1:
If the existing water hardness is above 4 gpg, contact a qualified water treatment specialist.
Have a water treatment system installed that lowers the water hardness level to below 4 gpg.
Regardless of the water hardness measured, you must have the included ACFS flushing
system kit installed according to the installation instructions. This coffee system requires
periodic decalcification regardless of the water hardness level. The flushing system is required
to perform this process.
If the house water supply is unfiltered, you may attach the optional filter cartridge (Dacor P/N
ACWF) to the flushing system filter head to improve water taste.
For model CM24T-1:
If the tap water hardness level is above four grains per gallon (4 gpg) you must use filtered
water with a hardness level of 4 gpg or less. Do not use distilled water. If the water hardness
level is below 4 gpg, you may use tap water in your coffee system.
IMPORTANT: Dacor (_)does not recommend installation of a reverse osmosis filtration system.
