INFORMATION ON USE AND OPERATION
7) Tamp the coee using the tamper supplied.
Keep the tamper perfectly upright to apply pressure to
the coee evenly.
8) Clean o any ground coee residues from around
the edge of the portalter to ensure a perfect seal be-
tween the portalter and the grouphead.
WARNING
Accidental release of the portalter during coee ex-
traction can cause injury.
9) Firmly t the portalter into the grouphead.
10) Press the button for the amount of coee you want to
extract into the cup (‘ristretto’, i.e. a smaller more con-
centrated espresso, a standard espresso, or ‘lungo’,
i.e. a slightly larger, less concentrated espresso), see
(“Description of the grouphead control panel”).
- The button backlight will come on.
WARNING
To prevent scalds from contact with the hot coee
when extracting the coee, keep body parts away and
do not put your hands under the portalter.
- Press the button to stop extraction at any time.
