GRYPHON™ I GBT/GM4200
CHARGING THE BATTERIES
To charge the battery, simply insert the Gryphon into the
base. When the scanner is fully seated in the cradle, it will
sound a “chirp” to indicate that the cradle has detected
the scanner connection.
The LEDs on the base (shown in Table 1) will indicate the
status of the battery.
THE GBT/GM4200 SCANNER
Scanner LEDs
Specific LEDs on the Gryphon Scanner provide information
about good reading result (3GL) and battery status.
The Battery Status information can be easily retrieved by
double-tapping with your fingers on top of the head of the
scanner. The following table lists the battery status LED
colors and their meaning.

NOTE: The Gryphon GBT/GM4200 may get warm
during charging: this is normal and does not mean
a malfunction.
NOTE: Before using the battery, read "Battery
Safety" on page 41. Datalogic recommends annual
replacement of rechargeable battery packs to
ensure maximum performance.
COLOR BATTERY STATUS
Solid color (3s time-out):
Green
Amber
Red blinking
charge = 50% - 100%
charge = 2% - 50%
charge less than 2%
