RS-422/ RS-485

Interface

This Appendix describes the RS-422/485

interface. This interface option may be jumper

configured in the field or pre-configured at

the factory.

Introduction

The 9-pin serial connector may be used for either RS-232 or RS-

422 (4-wire RS-485 point-to-point) operation by changing

internal jumpers.

Changing the Setting

Remove the main board from the case by removing two screws

from the rear panel. There is a row of jumpers and three rows of

pins adjacent to the serial connector.

RS-232 Setting

ALL jumpers should be placed in the positions nearest the

board edge.
