Problem
Probable cause Solution
Incorrect use of the suction
lance.
Partial blockage of the hose with
powder lumps.
The powder outlet valve is no
longer tight.
The pressure valve is no longer
tight.
The PTS is not tight (body,
vacuum line, connections, hoses,
etc.).
The powder hose is damaged
(deformed or punctured).
The PTS filter is plugged up.
The PTS filter is wet.
The PTS filter is installed the wrong
way around.
The vacuum filter is plugged up.
The PTS chamber does not get
Insert the suction lance directly
into the product and move it
around.
Eliminate all lumps prior to
initiating the powder transfer.
Install a lump breaker.
Install a ball valve at the
powder inlet of the PTS.
Replace the sleeve of the
valve.
Replace the gasket of the
valve.
Make sure that all connections
and bolts are tightened.
Verify that the PTS filter gaskets
are installed, see point 15.
Replace the damaged hose.
Increase the discharge
pressure.
The supply of compressed
air/gas is too low, see point 10.
Clean the PTS filter with
compressed air or replace it.
Replace the PTS filter.
Turn the filter into the right
position. The red point must
face the powder. Assemble
the earthing strap (cf. chap.
6.2, pt. 8).
Check the PTS filter and
replace it if it is defective, see
point 3. Clean the filter of the
vacuum pump or replace it if
necessary.
Check the discharge time and
pressure, see point 5.
