MAN-PTS-GB, Revision 9, BSC, 15-FEB-2017 38/46
N° Problem
Probable cause Solution
2
No transfer takes place.
Wrong connections between the
valves and the control panel.
Pneumatic control panel
defective.
The supply of compressed air to
the control panel is insufficient.
No vacuum.
No pressure.
The inlet or outlet valve does not
work correctly.
The transfer hose is plugged up.
Formation of bridges in the
hopper.
Product remains in the PTS
chamber.
Correct the pneumatic
connections according to the
instructions in the manual.
Check the pneumatic control
panel, see point 8.
Increase the pressure and the
diameter of the supply hose
(at least ½").
Make sure that the vacuum
valve is working correctly and
that the vacuum pump is
running, see point 7.
Make sure that the pressure
valve is working correctly and
that there is a supply of
pressure.
Check the valves and replace
them if necessary, see point
14.
Unplug and eliminate any
lumps or obstructions in the
hose, see point 6.
Break any bridges which might
have been created. If this
occurs frequently, modify the
hopper or add a pneumatic
vibrator or a mechanical
device.
Make sure that the powder
outlet valve and the
discharge pressure function
properly, see point 5.
3
Powder passes through the
filter.
The filter of the vacuum
pump is plugged up.
The PTS filter is not installed.
The PTS filter is installed the wrong
way around.
The grid of the PTS filter is installed
the wrong way around.
Install the PTS filter.
Turn the filter into the right
position. The red point must
face the powder. Consult the
manual for instructions.
Put the grid into the right
position. The grid must face
upwards towards the vacuum
