MAN-PTS-GB, Revision 9, BSC, 15-FEB-2017 41/46
N° Problem
Probable cause Solution
The butterfly valve at the powder
inlet provokes a restriction.
Install a ball valve with full
bore at the powder inlet.
7
No more suction from the
PTS.
The PTS has been wrongly
connected to the control panel.
The vacuum pump is not running.
The vacuum valve does not
open.
The actuator of the vacuum
valve is undersized.
The suction hose is plugged up.
The PTS body is full.
The PTS filter is plugged up.
The filter of the vacuum pump is
plugged up.
Check the pneumatic
connections.
Start up the vacuum pump.
Check the vacuum valve.
Clean or replace the valve if
necessary.
Install a bigger actuator.
Clear the obstruction in the
hose and solve the source of
the problem by referring to
point 6.
Check the emptying cycle,
see point 5.
Increase the discharge
pressure, see point 11.
Check the PTS filter, see point
3.
8
The PTS cycle does not get
started or stops at an
intermediate position.
The supply of compressed air
from the control panel is closed.
The pressure supply is too low.
One of the components of the
pneumatic control panel is
defective.
A temporization of the
pneumatic control panel is
defective.
A temporization inside the control
panel is stuck or set at a time
which is too long (only in case of
a pneumatic control panel).
Open the valve inside the
control panel. Adjust the
pressure setting.
Increase the pressure supply
(standard: 6 bar).
Replace the defective
component.
Replace the defective
temporization. Make sure that
the pressure supply is not
greater than 6.5 bar.
Reduce the time setting of the
temporization (17.1 or 17.2)
and refer to the instructions in
the manual.
