Problem
Probable cause Solution
open.
The supply of pressure is
insufficient.
The powder outlet valve does not
open.
The actuator of the powder
outlet valve is undersized.
The vacuum valve stays open
too long after the powder inlet
valve has been closed.
Check if the valve works and
replace it if necessary.
Check the capacity of the
pressure supply, see point 10.
Make sure the valve is
correctly installed.
Install a larger actuator.
Decrease the delay between
the closing of the powder inlet
and the vacuum valve (Timer
17.1 for a pneumatic control
panel).

Powder gets plugged up in
the hose or near the
powder inlet valve.
The powder contains lumps.
The transfer distance is too long.
The vacuum produced by the
vacuum pump is insufficient.
The vacuum capacity is too low.
The vacuum pump is undersized.
The diameter of the transfer hose
is too large.
The transfer hose contains
obstructions or elbows which are
too pronounced.
The inside of the stainless steel
pipe contains rough, unpolished
welding seams.
The connection of the hose
Break up the lumps or grind
the whole product before
starting the suction cycle.
Install a lump breaker in the
lower part of the suction
hopper.
Decrease the transfer
distance.
Increase the vacuum.
Change your vacuum pump.
The vacuum must not be
greater than 150 mbar abs.
Increase the vacuum
capacity.
Adapt the diameter of the
hose according to the
prescriptions of the
manufacturer.
Modify the design of the hose.
Avoid changing sections or
elbows < 10d.
Grind down and polish the
welding seams inside the pipe.
Change the type of
connection.
