Removing the camera

Prerequisites
NOTE: These instructions are applicable only for laptops with a non-touch
screen display.
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the battery.
3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in “Removing the hard drive”.
4 Remove the keyboard
5 Remove the palm-rest assembly.
6 Remove the fans.
7 Remove the display assembly.
8 Remove the display bezel.
9 Remove the display panel.

Procedure
1 Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the camera from the display back-cover and
antenna assembly.
2 Turn the camera over and peel o the tape that secures the camera cable to the
camera.
