Steps
1. In reverse sequential order (7>6>5>4>3>2>1), loosen the seven captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system
board.
2. Lift the heat sink off the system board.
Installing the heat sink- discrete
CAUTION: The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
NOTE:
If either the system board or the heat sink is replaced, use the thermal pad or paste provided in the service kit. The
thermal pad or paste ensures that the thermal conductivity is achieved.
