Removing the display assembly

Prerequisites
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the wireless card.
3 Remove the fan.
4 Remove the heat sink.
Procedure
1 Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
CAUTION
: Place the computer on a soft and clean surface to avoid scratching the display.
2 Peel the tape that secures the touch-screen cable to the system board.
3 Open the latch and disconnect the touch-screen board cable from the system board.
4 Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
5 Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
6 Remove the display cable and touch-screen board cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
7 Remove the antenna cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
8 Remove the four screws (M2.5x5) that secure the display hinges to the I/O board and system board.
9 Lift the display assembly oî the palm-rest assembly.
