Dell Precision 5510 - Palm-Rest Assembly Removal and Installation

Installing the antenna module
1. Align the screw holes on the antenna module with the screw holes on the display assembly.
2. Replace the screws that secure the antenna module to the display assembly.
3. Adhere the tape that covers the antenna cable.
4. Install the:
a. display hinges
b. antenna cover
c. display assembly
d. wireless card
e. battery
f. base cover
5. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer.
Removing the palm-rest assembly
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the:
a. base cover
b. battery
c. memory modules
d. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in “Removing the hard drive
e. wireless card
f. speakers
g. heat-sink
h. fans
i. display assembly
j. power-adapter port
k. system board
l. keyboard
After performing the steps in the prerequisites we are left with the palm-rest assembly.
