4.1 Data evaluation and communication
Theintegrateddatadisplay,processingandcommunicationofthedeviceenableseasyoperation
ofthesolarinverter.Monitoringoftheoperationalstatusandsignalingofoperationalfailuresare
capableofbeingcalledupoverthedevicedisplay.Thedatainterfacesenablethedownloadingof
datawhichcanbeevaluatedwiththeaidofaPCsystemandthusguaranteescontinuousrecording
ofoperatingdata.
Thebestwayofaccessingthisfunctionalityisviatheavailableaccessories(e.g.WEB´log);com-
prehensiveandseamlesssolarinvertermonitoringisensured.
Theread-outofthedataovertheintegratedinterfaceandthedisplayispossibleonlyinsolarop-
eration.
4.2 Technicalstructureofthesolarinverter
Apotentialisolationofthesolarinverterfromthemainsnetworkisachievedthrougharadiofre-
quencyconverterwithintegratedtransformer.Thephotovoltaicvoltageisadjustedsothatthemaxi-
mumpoweroutputofthePVmodulesisalsoachievedwithdifferentsolarirradiationlevelsand
temperatures(MPP-Tracking).
TheMPPrangeofthesolarinverterisbetween150Vand450V.ThisfacilitatestheuseofPV
modulesbyavarietyofmanufacturers.Measuresmustbetakentoensurethatthemaximumno-
loadvoltageof540Visneverexceeded.Pleasenotethatthemaximumno-loadvoltagewilloccur
atthelowesttemperaturesanticipated.Youwillndmoredetailedinformationabouttemperature
dependencyinthedatasheetforthePVmodules.
Thedevice’spowerconsumptioniskepttoaminimum.
Thehigh-qualityaluminumcasingcorrespondstoProtectionTypeIP65(water-jet-proofanddust-
proof)andisprotectedagainstweatheringprocessesbysurfacerenement.Thecoolingcharac-
teristicproleisdesignedsothatoperationoftheinverterispossiblewithambienttemperatures
from-25°Cto+60°C.
A cooling characteristicprole is usedfor the removalof the powerdissipation caused through
thevoltageconversion.Aninternaltemperaturecontrolprotectsthedeviceagainsttoohightem-
peraturesintheinteriorofthesolarinverter.Incaseofhighambienttemperatures,themaximum
transferablepowerislimited(seediagramunder6.5).
Thesolarinverteriscontrolledbymicrocontrollers,whichalsoimplementinterfacecommunication
andthedisplaysofvaluesandmessagesonthedisplay.
Twoindependentandredundantmicrocontrollerscontrolthemonitoringofthenetwork,whichis
consistentwiththefeed-indirectivesofVDEWandDINVDE0126-1-1(anti-islandingprotection).
Thisenablesaninstallationofthesolarinverterinthein-housemainsnetwork.
OperatorprotectionrequirementsaremetbyelectricallyisolatingthemainsfromthePVmodule.
Theelectricalisolation betweenthe mainsandthe PVmoduleis equivalenttobasic insulation.
Maximumoperatorprotectionisensuredbyreinforcedisolationbetweenthemains,PVmodules
andaccessibleinterfaces(display,RS485interfaceandfanport).Relevantstandardsconcerning
electromagneticcompatibility(EMC)andsafetyarefullled.
Thesolar inverteris functional innetwork paralleloperation exclusively.An automatically-acting
isolationpoint,whichwasacceptedbyacerticationagency,guaranteessecuredisconnectionin
caseofcircuitisolationorinterruptionsinpowersupplyandavoidsisolatedoperation.
