5 Installation
Installationandcommissioningmustonlybecarriedoutbyqualiedelectricalexperts!
Theprescribedsafetyregulations,thetechnicalinterfaceconditions(TAB2000),aswellastheVDE
specication,aretobecompliedwith.
Inordertobeabletocarryoutanenergymeasurement,ametermustbeattachedbetweenthe
networkfeed-inpointandthesolarinverter(inaccordancewiththeVDEWdirectiveconcerning„In-
plantgenerationsystemsonthelow-voltagemainsnetwork“).
Inthe Germanversion, bymeans ofthe integratedanti-islanding protection,the functionof the
prescribedsectionswitchisfullledinaccordancewiththeVDEWdirective.Incaseoftheanti-
islandingprotectionisnotbeingpresent,precautionsmustbeprovidedthroughasectionswitchfor
thedisconnectionfromthenetwork,inaccordancewithabovedirective.
Caution:Thesecondaryshort-circuitcurrentratingisincreasedatthetransferconnectionpointto
thepublicelectricitysupplysystembythenominalcurrentoftheconnectedsolarinverter.
6 Installationofequipment
6.1 Installation location
•Installthedeviceonanon-inammablesupportbase.
•Avoidinstallationonresonatingbodies(lightconstructionwallsetc.).
•Installationispossiblebothindoorsandprotectedoutdoorarea.
•AnincreasedambienttemperaturecanreducetheefciencyofthePVsystem.
•Noisegenerationpossible(avoidinstallationintheresidentialarea).
•EnsurelegibilityoftheLEDsandthedisplay(read-offangle/installationheight).
•AlthoughtheunitisttedwithUVresistantcomponents,directexposuretosunlightshouldbe
avoided.
•DespitehavinganIP65enclosureandbeingcertiedinaccordancewithsoilingcategoryIII,the
unitmustnotbeallowedtobecometooheavilysoiled.
•Heavysoilingcanimpairtheunit’sperformance.
6.2 Minimumrequirements
•Freeconvectionaroundthesolarinvertermustnotbeimpaired.
•Foraircirculationallowaclearanceofapprox.10cmtothesideandapprox.50cmaboveand
belowtheunit.
•Thenetworkimpedanceatthesupplyterminalistobeconsidered(cablelength,cablecross-
section).
•Theprescribedinstallationpositionistobeadheredto(vertical).
•UnusedDCconnectors(Tyco)andinterfacesmustbeshutthroughsealingconnectors.
