Network configuration 35
devolo dLAN 200 AVpro Wireless N
If you ever "lock" yourself out of
the interface, e.g. by deleting all
VLANs, the adapter has to be re-
turned to the factory defaults by
being reset (see the Reset section).
If the management VLAN configuration is changed,
please observe the sequence of the configuration steps
to guarantee access to the configuration interface:
Disable VLAN
Configure VLAN port and PVID settings; save them
Under Device configuration Network set-
tings Management VLAN, change the VLAN
ID and save it
Re-enable VLAN
The settings for management VLAN are im-
portant only if the VLAN configuration is en-
abled.
4.4.3 dLAN settings
In a dLAN network, all connected components must
use the same password. The dLAN password can be
defined using dLAN AVpro manager, via the dLAN
encryption button (see Chapter 5 dLAN network)
or in the dLAN settings section on the configuration
interface.
When selecting the procedure, keep in mind the fol-
lowing:
If the dLAN password is set using
dLAN AVpro manager or via the dLAN
encryption button, you can disregard the dLAN
settings on the configuration interface, since the
password is automatically forwarded.
If the dLAN password is set or changed on the
configuration interface, the password in dLAN
AVpro manager has to be adjusted accord-
ingly. The password is not forwarded automati-
cally.
