Do you have a question about the digicon dflow and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The device described in this manual is the dFlow, an access control system developed by Digicon. It represents a new paradigm in access control, featuring normally open doors that only activate to close when one or more unauthorized persons attempt to pass. This design aims to provide a pleasant and fast experience for authorized users while maintaining high security levels.

Function Description:

The dFlow system is designed for access control, allowing for both unidirectional and bi-directional access. It can accommodate various passage widths, ranging from 500mm to 900mm (PNE passage), and is capable of identifying multiple users, including Persons with Special Needs (PNEs). The system's core innovation lies in its "Free Flow" concept, where the doors remain open and only close when an unauthorized passage is detected. This is achieved through an advanced imaging system that functions like an unlimited number of traditional IR sensors, providing high accuracy in identifying unauthorized users. Sophisticated algorithms control the acceleration and direction of user movement, enabling the doors to close quickly and precisely when needed. Once an unauthorized user moves away, the doors reopen.

The dFlow integrates indicative LED windows that guide users through the passage with different colors for various user groups (e.g., green for students, yellow for educators, blue for family members, red for unauthorized users). It supports traditional identification technologies such as barcode, RFID, MIFARE, and biometrics (fingerprint). It is also compatible with emerging contactless biometric technologies like facial or iris identification and "finger on the fly" for a faster, contactless user experience.

    • Width: 990mm (38.97")
    • Length: 1600mm (62.99")
    • Height: 608mm (23.93")
    • Base dimensions: 528mm (20.78") x 305mm (12") x 590mm (23.22")
  • Dimensions (dFlow 500):
    • Width: 990mm (38.97")
    • Length: 1600mm (62.99")
    • Height: 408mm (16.06")
    • Base dimensions: 328mm (12.91") x 305mm (12") x 590mm (23.22")
  • Overhead Detection System Height: 3.08m (with a tolerance of +/- 0.15 meters) from the ground/floor.
  • Motor Characteristics: Robust, reliable, high performance, electronic control, silent (Noise: <45dB). The drive unit uses direct current converted to PWM signals for coil assembly drive. The mechanism is sealed, robust, with natural convection heat dissipation, and permanently lubricated mechanical elements.
  • Connection Cables: Digicon provides 4-meter long connection cables. Ducts must be dimensioned to accommodate these cables.
  • Required Free Area: A 1000mm (39.37") free area is required at the start of the entrance and exit, with a uniform floor/ground, free of objects like cones, suitcases, plants, or line organizers. The total passage length is 1600mm (63").

Usage Features:

  • Configurable Access: Can be configured for unidirectional or bi-directional access and various passage widths (500mm to 900mm).
  • Multi-user Identification: Identifies multiple users, including PNEs, with high efficiency.
  • Normally Open Doors: Doors remain open, closing only for unauthorized passages, ensuring a smooth flow for authorized users.
  • Fast and Accurate Closing System: Utilizes new sensor systems and sophisticated algorithms for precise door control.
  • Indicative LED Windows: LEDs with different colors guide users and indicate passage status (e.g., green for free, yellow for controlled, red for not allowed).
  • Integrated Identification Technologies: Supports barcode, RFID, MIFARE, fingerprint biometrics, and emerging contactless biometric technologies.
  • Optional Items:
    • Card Collector Kit/Box Kit: Collects, retains, and stores cards/badges (approx. 50 cards capacity), ideal for visitors or occasional users.
    • Display: Graphic display (800x480 VGA) directly connected to the CPU, fully configurable and customizable.
    • Antennas: Various card reader antennas (Mifare, RFID) can be integrated.
    • Bar Code Reader: Supports 1D and 2D barcode reading, useful for applications like airport boarding passes.
    • Biometrics: Fingerprint sensors for secure and convenient identification.
    • MCA (Access Control Module): Digicon's proprietary technology for integrating access control systems, offering processing power, data manipulation agility, flexibility in technology choice, and independence from the manufacturer for application development.
  • Selector Switch: Provides a practical interface for various adjustments and settings, including sensor calibration, door centralization, operational status (Controlled, Free, Closed) for entry/exit, and LED bar color changes. A test mode is available for LED lights and doors.

Maintenance Features:
