8.1 If the appliance does not work as it should
See if you can solve the problem yourself by following the steps in the table below. If you cannot
solve the problem using this table, contact us (ZPage 123, "International Service") and describe the
problem.
Problem Possible cause / solution
The sweeping robot
will not switch on.
The batteries are so empty that the on/off switch cannot even flash red or emit
a continuous red light.
Charge the batteries as described, ZChapter 4.3, "Charging the batteries in
the appliance".
The sweeping robot
can be switched on,
but won’t start.
The on/off switch flashes red or emits a continuous red light and the batteries
are not charged.
Charge the batteries as described, ZChapter 4.3, "Charging the batteries in
the appliance".
The cleaning mode was not selected after the appliance was switched on.
Select a cleaning mode straight away after switching on the sweeping robot,
ZChapter 6.1, "Switching on the appliance".
The sweeping robot
is switched on but
none of the status
LEDs are on.
Or:
The sweeping robot
only cleans parts of
the room to be
cleaned.
The control cube is not switched on.
You can also use the EVO without the control cube. However, if you want to
use the control cube for efficient cleaning, switch it on, ZChapter 5.2, "Posi-
tioning the control cube".
The batteries in the control cube are dead (LED on the control cube emits a
red light).
Replace the dead batteries, ZChapter 4.2, "Inserting batteries into control
cube".
The control cube is switched on, but not ideally positioned.
You can use the EVO nevertheless. To clean efficiently, position the control
cube so that:
it is on a high piece of furniture;
it can send a signal towards the ceiling without hindrance;
its blue LED is pointing into the room; and
its blue LED is pointing away from the nearest walls.
The sweeping robot
does not move in a
straight line in
‘dusting’ mode, de-
spite an open
space.
You have selected the wrong mode.
Switch the appliance off and back on and select the ‘dusting’ mode, ZChapter
6.2, "Wiping up dust".
The floor cloth is not taut enough on the floor cleaning panel or has creases.
Switch off the appliance and reattach the floor cloth, ZChapter 5.1, "Attach
floor cloth". When attaching the floor cloth, ensure that it is flat on the floor
cleaning panel and that its holes are not covered.
