Legend for fig. g, page 8 to fig. k, page 12:
• Always connect the charging booster before
connecting the batteries.
• Do not use ferrules. Strip the cable ends as fol-
lows:
– Signal cable 6 mm (0.75 – 1.5 mm²)
– Charging cable 12 mm
• Determine the cable cross-section (see chapter
“Determine the cable cross-section” on
page 23).
• Connect the probe of the temperature sensor to
the negative terminal of the house battery
(fig. g 1, page 8 to fig. k 1, page 12).
• If the starting battery and the house battery are
not each grounded on the chassis: Connect the
negative terminal of the house battery to the
negative terminal of the starting battery or to
ground (chassis) (fig. g 2, page 8 to fig. k 2,
page 12).
• Protect the positive cable of the house battery
with a fuse
Ι (see chapter “Determine the cable
cross-section” on page 23).
• Protect the positive cable of the starting battery
with a fuse
ΙΙ (see chapter “Determine the cable
cross-section” on page 23).
• Select the charging program suitable for the
type of house battery used (see chapter “Setting
the charging program” on page 26).
