Selection of guard door switch:
The guard door switch has to offer two independent channels.
Regarding the safety parameters there are two options:
• The data sheet of the switch must contain the information:
“Performance Level e” according to EN ISO 13849-1.
• The performance level of the complete system can be calculated by
means of safety parameters of the switch as B10d, Lambda_d or
MTTFd (written in the data sheet).
The minimal performance level of the complete system has to be “d”. For
the calculation the software tool “Sistema” (from the German occupational
insurance association) can be used.
As example the following switches may be used:
• Magnetic Switch PSEN ma1.4 a-50 from Pilz GmbH
Safety parameter: PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1
Mechanical Switch AZ200CC-T-1P2P from Schmersal GmbH
Safety Parameters: B10d: 7.300.000 Lambda_d/Lambda: 0,75
