SAFETY OF THE LASER SYSTEM
There are two different safety concepts for the F-Series system – without
shutter and with optional shutter.
Without Shutter
In systems without shutter the laser safety is guaranteed by means of the
following three measures:
• Switching off the laser modulation
• Disabling the laser
• Switching off the laser power.
The following graphic shows the safety concept:
All components are placed inside the D-Series core controller. Two door
switches are connected with a safety relay PNOZ S4 from Pilz. When the
guard door is opened, the safety contacts interrupt the live and neutral path
of the laser power supply AC side.
In parallel both door signals “Interlock1” and “Interlock2” are used to switch
off the laser modulation and to disable the laser. The laser radiation will be
stopped with a delay shorter than 10ms. The message “Laser E-Stop” is
shown on the screen.
