Shutter Control Modes
For the following please also refer to the X69 Pin description.
Standard Mode
The shutter position depends on the safety (guard) door / (i.e. interlock
input) exclusively.
The “start” input does not take effect, once the start-up procedure is done.
Static Mode
Usually when this mode is used the shutter position depends on the “start”
input but the safety (guard) door / (i.e. interlock input) remains as a
precondition i.e. :
• the shutter is open if the safety door is closed and the “start” input is
“1”.
• the shutter is closed if the safety door is open or the “start” input is “0”.
This mode must be used if the door lock is wired to the regarding X69
output. In the standard mode, the open shutter would lock the door and a
locked door may not be opened in order to close the shutter. Thus, the
static mode is “the way out”.
Setup the Shutter Control Mode
To adjust the shutter control mode:
(1) Power down the system
(2) Disconnect the system from power
(3) Remove all connection cables (except the ones to the laser) from the
laser unit controller
(4) Open the controller and pull out the drawer
Disconnect all cables
Open this front panel (6 screws)
