Selecting the CPU Board and Interface Modules
PSS 5000 CPU Board

The product specifications for the CPU boards of the PSS 5000 are presented
in the table below:
Note: When upgrading from a CPB50x system to a CPB539, if the LON
KIT422 is in use, it is necessary to substitute it by installing a DSB522
with the CPB539.
Note: 411 software applications require a CPB509 or CPB505-2. 410 software
applications run on all CPB50x systems. 452 software applications re-
quire a CPB539.
4.1.1 KIT453 – CPB50x to CPB539
LON interface When upgrading a PSS 5000 system using KIT453, it is necessary to note
whether the LON KIT422 is in use. If it is, then it is necessary to supplement
the CPB539 with a DSB522, which will provide the necessary LON function-
ality.
