12.2 Inspection and Acceptance
The ED 100/250 must be inspected and, if necessary,

once per year.
Inspection and acceptance using the inspection book must
be performed by a person trained by DORMA.
The results must be documented and kept in a safe place by
the facility drive for at least one year.
We advise concluding a maintenance contract with
DORMA.
12.3 Maintenance
Maintenance work may be performed only when the system
is de-energized (switch off the fuse).
Other notices and specifications on using the ED 100/250
on fire and smoke doors can be found in the data sheet on
using hold-open systems.
The following parts are wear parts and must be checked
once per year and replaced if necessary:
• Arm
• Slide shoe
• Slide channel
Only genuine spare parts may be used.
12.4 Care
Cleaning work may be performed only when the system
is de-energized. Pull out the mains plug or, if using a
permanent power supply, switch off the fuse.
The ED 100/250 can be cleaned with a damp cloth and
commercial cleaning agents.
Scouring agents should not be used, as they could damage
the surface finish.
Ensure that no water or other liquids drop on or into the
ED 100/250.
Never stick metal objects into the ED 100/250’s openings;
otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.

outlined in the installation instructions and must be
performed by competent staff.
De-energize the product before dismantling it.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally
friendly manner. Electronic parts and batteries
must not be disposed of along with domestic
