Malfunction Possible Cause Remedy
During installation:
The door can be opened
manually only with great
difficulty and the closing
operation takes place at
high speed.
The braking circuit’s connector is in the
wrong position.
The connector must be positioned in accordance with
the arm being used.
See page 20, point 5.10.
The learning cycle cannot
be started.
The program switch is in the wrong
position.
Switch the program switch to the OFF position.
The deactivation of drive
function signal (4/4a) is active.
Check the smoke detector’s wiring or the stop signal on
4/4a.
The internal / external
program switch is not
working, or is only working
incorrectly.
The program switch type parameter is
set incorrectly.
The type used must be set correctly as the program
switch type parameter.
The internal program switch’s cable is
not connected.
Check and connect the cable if necessary.
Connection error or switch defect. The switch’s wiring and function must be checked.
The door opens
automatically, but only
closes after a long time or
does not close at all.
The hold-open time parameter is set to
too long a time.
Reduce the hold-open time.
The program switch is in the
“Permanent open” position.
Change the position of the program switch.
There is a signal from the safety sensor
on the opposite hinge side and this is
preventing the door from closing.
For diagnostic purposes the safety sensors’
signals are shown directly on the user
interface’s LED display with the two
decimal points.
The respective decimal point lights up if
something has been detected. The sensor’s wiring and
function must be checked. If the LED in the top left-
hand corner flashes, wall blanking is active. No error is
present.
There is a signal from a connected
activator and this is preventing the door
from closing.
The wiring of the connected activator must be checked.
A NO contact must be used in all cases. Signal input
57/57a may be operated with external voltage. Signal
lines 35, 57, 42 and 41 must be removed one after the
other to localize the error.
The driving speeds deviate
a great deal from the set
parameters.
The learning cycle was performed when
the motor was hot, and as a result
the door leaf weight was calculated
incorrectly.
Perform the learning cycle again when the motor is
cold.
