How to fix excessive engine stalling on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • E
      Elaine Smith DDSSep 1, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower experiences excessive engine stalling, raise the cutting height and drive slower when cutting because the brush or grass is too heavy at the current cutting height or at the current Tow Vehicle speed.

What to do if my DR Tractor Accessories engine will not start manually?
    • M
      Matthew RogersSep 9, 2025
If your DR Tractor Accessories engine won't start manually, make sure the key is in the RUN position and the spark plug wire is attached. Inspect the operator presence switch connections beneath the panel at the key switch and at the engine. Check the oil and gas levels, replacing old gas if necessary, and consider using a fuel stabilizer. Verify the throttle adjustment and travel. Examine the spark plug for dirt or cracks, replacing it if needed. If the spark plug is oily, remove it, cover the plug hole with a rag, and pull the recoil cord to clear any oil. Finally, check the air filter and replace it if dirty, following the engine owner’s manual.

What to do if blades vibrate when engaged on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • A
      Anthony CarterAug 31, 2025
If the blades vibrate when engaged on your DR Lawn Mower, the blade carrier mounting bolt may not be tight enough. Tighten the bolt as tight as possible by hand with at least a 1ft long 1-1/8" wrench. A swinging blade may be too loose on the blade carrier, so re-tighten the swinging blade mounting hardware.

What to do if my DR Tractor Accessories engine smokes?
    • C
      Cynthia BurtonSep 12, 2025
If the engine of your DR Tractor Accessories is smoking, check the oil level and adjust as needed. Ensure you are not operating the machine on too steep of an incline. Inspect the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. Verify you are using the correct oil type for the temperature; refer to the Engine Owner’s Manual for details. Also, clean the engine cooling fins and the carburetor housing if they are dirty.

Why is my DR Tractor Accessories machine lacking traction?
    • A
      Allison HicksSep 14, 2025
If your DR Tractor Accessories machine lacks traction, the load may be uneven in the bed. More weight over the wheels improves traction. Try using a lower gear. Consider using a tire chain kit if you are working on rough terrain.

    • T
      thomasfoxSep 22, 2025

Why does the belt fray on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • J
      Jeanette ClayAug 27, 2025
The belt on your DR Lawn Mower might fray or roll over the pulley because there may be a nick in a pulley groove, so check the belt for wear and hard spots and file off any nicks on the pulley. The belt may be stretched, so replace it.

      Joy RobertsAug 27, 2025
If the blades are not cutting or are loose on your DR Lawn Mower, tighten the blade carrier mounting bolt as tight as possible by hand with at least a 1ft long 1-1/8” wrench. What to do if my DR Lawn Mower engine lacks power?
    • J
      Joanna WilliamsAug 26, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower engine lacks power or isn't running smoothly, ensure the throttle lever is in the RUN position. The spark plug(s) may be dirty or cracked, so replace it. If the spark plug(s) is oily, remove it, hold a rag over the plug hole(s) and crank the engine over a couple of times using the electric starter to blow out any oil in the cylinder(s), then wipe off the plug(s) and reinsert it. Use a fuel stabilizer if you keep gas longer than one month, as the gas must be fresh and clean. Also, the engine may not have the right amount of clean oil, so change it if it is dirty.
